Today, Niantic shared another pretty interesting stat about Pokémon GO: since launch, players have collectively walked over 15.8 billion kilometers. Naturally, this is just the “beginning”, as the game is yet to celebrate its first Anniversary.
For players looking for even more adventures in Pokémon GO, Niantic has announced the Pokémon GO Adventure Week celebration, taking place from the following times:
- Europe: May 18th (10PM) to May 25th (10PM)
- UK: May 18th (9PM) to May 25th (9PM)
- North America (EST): May 18th (4PM) to May 25th (4PM)
- North America (PST): May 18th (1PM) to May 25th (1PM)
- Japan: May 19th (5AM) to May 25th (5AM)
During that Pokémon GO Adventure Week…
- more items will be awarded from every PokéStop you visit;
- Poké Balls will be 50% off in the in-game shop;
- your Buddy Pokémon will find Candies 4 times faster than usual;
- Rock-type Pokémon (such as Omanyte, Kabuto, and their Evolutions…) will be much more frequently found in the wild. Who knows, you may even end up finding Aerodactyl;
- the Explorer’ Hat will be added to your Wardrobe.

Pokkén Tournament
The Dreamhack Summer 2017 event will take place from June 17th to June 20th, in Sweden. If you want to go participate in the Pokémon Tournament 2017 Championship at the Pokémon World Championships, in August, this is one event you really do not want to miss.
Indeed, it’s at Dreamhack Summer 2017 that the Pokkén Tournament 2017 Championship qualifier event will be held, with the Top 4 players qualifying for the Pokémon World Championships. However, do note that you need entry to the Dreamhack event to participate at all.
