Yo-kai Watch: the anime series to be launched in Spring in Europe

Yo-kai WatchIn North America, the Yo-kai Watch anime was launched back in October, roughly one month before the launch of the first game, on Nintendo 3DS. In Europe, we still have no date for both, but it looks like it’s only a matter of weeks until we get something concrete.

Yesterday, Viz Media sent a press release to announce that the Yo-kai Watch anime series would launch in more than 100 territories across Europe and Africa, this Spring. Just like in North America, Viz Media will start with the first season (26 episodes). The anime will be broadcast on “popular kids’ channels”, to be announced soon. Yesterday, we learned from Philippe Lavoué (Nintendo France) that Yo-kai Watch would air on a major national TV channel.

The anime series will be accompanied by toys (from Hasbro), video games (on Nintendo 3DS), mangas, and a “massive licensing program”.

Yo-kai Watch (3DS) will launch this year in Europe.
