Xenoblade Chronicles X: website update (April 28) – Paid DLC quests, online details, video and more

Today, Monolith Software has updated the official website for Xenoblade Chronicles X, with some major information about DLC, online quests and reports, a video, and even some wallpapers!

Paid DLC

Starting May 8th, Monolith Software and Nintendo will start distributing DLC quests. For starters, there’s 4 additional characters, sold 500 Yen each. They include:

– 3 quests each
– the character itself, who knows its own special Arts and comes with blueprints for a special Doll / Skell. It’s unlocked when you complete its quests. You also get the “Fashion Equipment” option (that allows you to change the appearance of your character at anytime, without removing the stats of the equipment you’re wearing) automatically by completing the three quests of any of those four DLC characters.

The characters are:

– HB: knows the special Arts “Atomic Bash” and “Frame Hand”, allows you to get the blueprints for the Doll/Skell called “POLICEMEN”.
– Boze: knows the special Arts “Vortex” and “Bayonet Art”, allows you to get the blueprints for the Doll/Skell the Doll/Skell “YUMBO”.
– Yelve: knows the special Arts “Spirit Change” and “Powered Gunner”, comes with a new category of weapon called “Multigun”, that allows you to switch from cannon, missile, and rifle forms for his weapon).
– Axana: knows the special Arts “Over Spec” and “Voltage Max”, allows you to get the blueprints for the Doll/Skell called “EXCAVATOR”.

There’s also Support DLC quests (sold 300 Yen each), which focus on a different aspect of the game:

– a set allowing you to help your characters grow (XP) [10 quests]
– a set focused on making money [10 quests]
– a set forcus on Kizuna (relationships between the characters) [10 quests]

All those will be available in a special pack sold 2 000 Yen. The first DLC will be released on May 8th. There will be a link on the main menu, leading to the Nintendo eShop (where you can purchase the DLC).

Online Quests

Online Quests are special quests you can take with other members from your Squad. They allow you to get some rather valuable materials. To be able to take on those special quests, you first need to complete enough Squad Missions. Then, if you complete enough Squad Quests, you can even go take on really powerful enemies known as “World Enemies” (shown in the Doll / Network presentation).

Here’s a video for those quests:

B.L.A.D.E. Report

B.L.A.D.E. Reports are reports that you share with other players in your Squad. For more information about those, click here!

Scouts

At the B.L.A.D.E. Home, you can use a dedicated console to hire Scouts: those are the Avatars of other players, that can join your team if you hire them. You can do a special search based on specific criteria (level, class, etc.). Once you’ve hired an Avatar, you have to wait a bit before you can hire it again.

Of course, you can register your own Avatar (and delete it if you want), and it will collect XP, money and materials when sent to other players.
