Wii U: new configuration including Mario Kart 8 + DLC available today in the United States

On Friday, Nintendo will release a brand new bundle for the Wii U in North America, with Super Mario Maker included. But the company had a surprise up its sleeve: a new Wii U configuration, including Mario Kart 8. A bundle was already released last year, for the Holiday season, but this new configuration is slightly different and also includes the DLC!

Here’s the contents of this new Wii U configuration:

• Wii U Premium pack
• Mario Kart 8 (pre-installed)
• a Nintendo eShop download card for the two DLC packs

This new Wii U configuration is sold $299.99, which is the same price as a regular Wii U Premium Pack but with Mario Kart 8 and the DLC. Since Nintendo calls it an “ongoing configuration”, this pack is there to stay, and will most likely not be replaced after the Holiday season.

Unfortunately, we don’t know if Nintendo will start including Mario Kart 8 and the DLC with all Wii U in Europe.
