Unseen64: cancelled Dirty Harry game (Wii, Nintendo DS)

Dirty HarryLicenced games are not spared by cancellations: quite the opposite! Due to the many parties involved (right holders, original authors, publishers, developers), risks of a licenced game getting cancelled are usually pretty high. Unfortunately, the Dirty Harry franchise is not one of those which were “spared”.

Last week, Unseen64 uploaded a video about the Dirty Harry game, which was ultimately cancelled. It was supposed to take place between the first and second Dirty Harry movies, featuring famous actors such as Clint Eastwood, Laurence Fishburne, and Lucy Lui. There was actually two versions in development:

  • one for the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360, developed by The Collective Inc.
  • one for the Wii, Nintendo DS, PlayStation 2, Xbox, PC, and PSP, developed by Sensory Sweet
