Super Mario Maker: wallpaper making website launched in Japan

Official and fan-made: thanks to the internet, it’s extremely easy to find a cool wallpaper based on your favorite game(s). In fact, a quick Google search allows you to find plenty of them just for Super Mario Maker. But why not go for something a bit more personal? It’s now possible, thanks to Nintendo!

This morning, the company launched a special website, which allows you to “build” your very own Super Mario Maker wallpaper. Since the game itself is all about making levels, this website is definitely a pretty neat idea. What’s more, it’s very easy to use, even if you don’t know a single word of Japanese.

Here’s how to make your own wallpaper:

• click here
• select your platform (PC or Mobile)
• chose your resolution
• in the editor, add various elements with the “level editor” (which is basically a very simplified version of the Super Mario Maker level editing tools). You can chose the game style (Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World, and New Super Mario Bros. U), the background, and add various elements and enemies (blocks, Goombas, Bowser, Mushroom, etc.). Of course, you can remove elements and reset everything whenever you want.
