Snipperclips: official websites, details, footage, release date, bundle (Europe)

Today, Nintendo finally opened the official website for Snipperclips: Cut it out, Together! in Japan. It reveals a pretty crucial bit of information: the game is indeed releasing on March 3rd, on the same day as the Nintendo Switch itself, and not just in Japan… Europe and North America also get it on the same day!

Snipperclips: Cut it out, Together! will cost 1 667 Yen + taxes in Japan, 19.99€/$ in Europe and North America. In Europe, Nintendo will release a bundle including a download code for the game, and Neon Red / Blue Joy-Cons. The game will require about 1GB of free space on the internal storage of the Nintendo Switch or on the SD Card. And if you’re not convinced, a demo will be released on the Nintendo eShop, too!

The press release from Nintendo of Europe reveals that Snipperclips: Cut it out, Together! features three different game modes:

  • World mode, playable with 1 or 2 players: “Help Snip and Clip solve dozens of puzzles in World mode. Journey through notebooks, retro worlds and beyond, matching shapes, catching fireflies, reuniting frogs with their lost children, and other silly scenarios!”
  • Party mode, playable with 2 to 4 players: “These dynamic puzzle extravaganzas expand upon some of the puzzles found in World mode. Whether you’re teaming up to match more complicated shapes or scoring a basket by passing the ball through a series of obstacles, you’ll all need to be on the same page if you’ve got any chance of success!”
  • Blitz mode, playable with 2 to 4 players: “Engage in team-based games and do whatever it takes to win: race to score baskets in Hoops, smash the puck into your opponents’ net in Hockey, or go head-to-head in a Dojo battle, where the winners are the ones who cut their opponents down to size the quickest!”.

For more details about the game, make sure to check out the official website in English!

Back to the Japanese official website, it provides us with some more gameplay footage for the game, starting with three of the worlds to be found in the game:

  • Messy Desk
  • Retro Pixel
  • Exciting Science

As usual, we gather the various video clips in a single video, for your viewing convenience:

Next, we have a list of various shapes you can create using the two characters. Those shapes are used to solve the various puzzles in the game, and to get them, the two players need to literally cut each other (in-game… put down those scissors right now!).

Some of the shapes include: circle, starfish, musical note, basketball hoop, toothbrush, cross, glass, Z, heart, key, handbag, haircut, cheese slice, leaf, tennis ball, and more.

Here’s a video with all the video clips for the various clips merged in one:

And finally, here’s some footage for the Party and Blitz modes:
