Shiin (horror adventure) headed to the Nintendo Switch, with additional episodes

This week, Famitsu will have details about a new game for the Nintendo Switch, called Shiin. It’s not exactly new, though, as it was previously released on PlayStation Vita, but it’s now getting ported to Nintendo Switch (and PlayStation 4) with additional content and various improvements. It looks like one of the reason Experience decided to bring the game to new platforms is because it had become hard to find in stores, on PS Vita.

Here’s what the story is all about (courtesy of ANN):

The game takes place in H City on the outskirts of Tokyo. A strange rumor is spreading in the town that those who have a “mark” will die. Players play as a middle-aged man who has lost his memory, but has the mark. He finds himself drawn to a Western-style building called “Kūjō Hall” that is said to protect those who are marked, and a talking doll answers the door. The doll says that if nothing is done, he will die, but that there is a way to be saved.

Unfortunately, the Famitsu preview doesn’t say what the new content consists of, but it does mention it’s enough to make the game enjoyable even to players who already played the game on PlayStation Vita.

But thanks to the usual leaks, we don’t have to wait until the magazine is out before finding out what’s new in this version of the game. First of all, we have improved graphics, which was to be expected going from PS Vita to Nintendo Switch / PlayStation 4. The game will also feature some extra episodes, as well as an Event Gallery.
