River City Ransom SP: first screenshots from Famitsu

River City Ransom SPYesterday, we learned from Famitsu magazine that Arc System Works was working on another Kunio-kun game for the Nintendo 3DS. Called River City Ransom SP (Downtown Nekketsu Monogatari SP in Japanese), it’s the first title to be released for the 30th Anniversary of the franchise.

This “renewal” on Nintendo 3DS will feature:

  • new events
  • new areas
  • new moves
  • combos
  • new gameplay systems

Today, Famitsu shared the very first screenshots for the game on its website. They allow us to see the “improved” graphics of this Nintendo 3DS game, but little else.

River City Ransom SP (3DS) comes out on April 28th in Japan.
