Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World pre-load in Japan, additional details (no co-op, file size), screens

On Monday, Nintendo uploaded the usual overview video for Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World, which comes out in exactly three weeks in Japan (on January 19th, to be more precise). The company also opened the official website, which provided us with some gameplay footage and details about amiibo: click here to check it out for yourself, if you haven’t already.

And yesterday, pre-load for Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World went live in Japan. If you have a Japanese Nintendo 3DS, you can now buy the game right, and start downloading right away. That way, you will be able to start playing as soon as the game goes live, on January 18th at 10PM. Naturally, you will need to have enough free space on your SD Card to do so: 7 769 blocks / 971MB.

Next, here’s some “technical” details about the game:

  • Genre: Action
  • Players: 1*
  • Save data files: 3
  • Save data files size: 0.25MB
  • File size: 7 769 blocks / 971MB
  • Local Multiplayer: StreetPass (exchange custom Yoshi patterns with other players)

* if you had any doubts left: the game is only playable in Single Player, so that means the co-op from the Wii U version has been removed. The gamepage confirms there’s no other multiplayer features (local or online) than StreetPass.

Finally, here’s some additional screenshots for the game:

Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World (3DS) comes out on January 19th in Japan, and February 3rd in Europe and North America.
