Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World: new stop-motion short, TV Commercial (JP), Tomoya Tomita

In exactly two weeks, on January 19th, Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World (the Nintendo 3DS version of Yoshi’s Woolly World) will be released in Japan. Unfortunately, European and North American players will have to wait two more weeks, until February 3rd, before being able to play it.

Earlier today, Nintendo uploaded a second stop-motion short for the game. In this one, Yoshi tries to have Poochy go fetch balls of yarn and… well, let’s just that Poochy isn’t one to listen to anyone!

Here’s the second stop-motion short:

The game will include 30 stop-motion shorts, developed in collaboration with the stop motion animation studio Dwarf.

Also, to promote the game in Japan, Nintendo has prepared a TV commercial. It consists of part of the first stop-motion short, but also some gameplay footage proper.

Here it is:

Finally, a quick note about Tomoya Tomita. As those of you probably know, he’s the one who composed the soundtrack for Kirby’s Epic Yarn and Yoshi’s Woolly World (among others). He used to work for Good-Feel, but it looks like he decided to go freelance. He’s still going to work for Nintendo/Good-Feel, but as a freelance composer, not an employee. Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World (3DS) comes out on January 19th in Japan, and February 3rd in Europe and North America.
