Pokkén Tournament to begin operation on July 16th in Akihabara?

In a few hours, Bandai-Namco will host another livestream for Pokkén Tournament on NicoNico, which will be even more important than the previous ones. Indeed, not only new playable Pokémon will be revealed, but apparently, the “release” date of the game will also be announced during that very livestream.

But it looks like we won’t have to wait for the livestream before finding out the launch date for Pokkén Tournament, thanks to the official Twitter account of Try Amusement Tower (a game center located in Akihabara). Earlier this morning, they posted a rather interesting Tweet, in which they announce that Pokkén Tournament will begin operation on July 16th in their shop.

Here’s one of the pics they posted:

Of course, it’s better to take this date with a grain of salt until we get an official confirmation… at least, we only have a couple of hours left before we find out! If it is, there’s still the possibility Pokkén Tournament will be launched at different dates across Japan.

Pokkén Tournament (Arcade) should begin operation this month in Japan.
