Pokémon Sun and Moon – Shiny Tapu Koko distribution

Yesterday, a new Pokémon distribution went live in Europe and North America. It allows players to get a Shiny Tapu Koko in Pokémon Sun and Moon, the same one that Japanese players could get earlier this year. To get it, you need to select the Mystery Gift option in Pokémon Sun and Moon, and then choose to get it via internet.

This Shiny Tapu Koko is Level 60 (with the Electric Surge Ability), holds an Electric Seed, and knows the following moves:

  • Nature’s Madness
  • Discharge
  • Agility
  • Electro Ball

Pokémon Sun and Moon – Ho-Oh distribution (Japan)

Today, some additional details about the Ho-Oh distribution for Pokémon Sun and Moon in Japan, that ties-in with the latest Pokémon movie, were finally revealed. Ho-Oh is Level 100 (with the Pressure Ability), holds the Sacred Ash, and knows the following moves:

  • Sacred Fire
  • Brave Bird
  • Recover
  • Safeguard

To get this Ho-Oh, you need to buy the latest issue of CoroCoro magazine (which comes out on July 15th) to get a Serial Code (code that will only work with the Japanese version of the game).

Pokkén Tournament DX

Today, The Pokémon Company revealed the various bonuses players who pre-order Pokkén Tournament DX at Pokémon Center stores across Japan:

  • a clear file;
  • three cards (featuring Pikachu, Mewtwo, Decidueye and their Burst Attacks);
  • three badges (featring the male/female avatars, and Nia)
  • soundtrack CD (4 tracks only, with 2 additional tracks available for download from the Pokémon Center website from September 16th)

Speaking of Pokkén Tournament DX, it was announced today that it would be playable at the Coro Tour 2017, which starts on July 17th.

Pokkén Tournament (Switch) comes out on September 22nd worldwide.

Pikachu Outbreak

Here’s a trailer for the annual Pikachu Outbreak event, which is taking place from August 9th to August 15th in Yokohama:

Pokémon anime

As part of the celebrations for the 20th Anniversary of the Pokémon anime series (and the 20th Pokémon movie), a series of special episodes was announced. Called Pokémon Anime Premium 10, it basically consists in reairing of classic episodes from the Pokémon anime series. The following people got to select the episodes:

  • Kanata Hongo
  • Shiori Sato
  • Shoko Nakagawa (host of the Pokémon no Uchi Atsumaru?! show and idol who has starred in most of the Pokémon movies)
  • Rica Matsumoto (Satoshi / Ash’s voice actress in Japan)
  • Ikue Ohtani (Pikachu’s voice actress)
  • Kunihiko Yuyama (Director of the latest movie)

The first episode will air on TV Tokyo on July 24th, at 1.35AM local time.
