Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon – Global Mission

Today, the latest Global Mission for Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon ended in success. Here’s all you need to know about it:

Global Mission #3 (Win at the Battle Agency)

  • Goal: 100 000 wins at the Battle Agency in Festival Plaza.
  • Result: 1 111 490 battles won
  • Took place from January 9th to January 22nd
  • Rewards: 2 000 Festival Coins (success) / 1 000 Festival Coins (failure)
  • Pokémon Global Link bonus: rewards x2

Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon – Update

Yesterday, The Pokémon Company announced that Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon would soon get an update (Ver. 1.2), in order to fix a glitch with the Curse, Forst’s Curse, Power Trick and String Shot moves during QR Codes events. We don’t know when that update will be released, but in the mean time, those moves are banned from competitive play, and all events are to be held in the Festival Plaza.

Pokémon Shuffle

Today, some new and returning content went live in Pokémon Shuffle:

  • the Great Challenge featuring Mimikyu is back until January 30th;
  • the Escalation Battle featuring Darkrai is also back until January 30th;
  • the Ultra Challenge featuring Tapu Koko is back until February 6th;
  • the Ultra Challenge featuring Tapu Fini is also back until February 6th;
  • the Great Challenge featuring Azumarill (Winking) is now available until February 6th;
  • the Ultra Challenge featuring Golisopod is now available until February 6th;
  • the UB Challenge featuring Kartana is now available until February 6th. You need to pay 20 000 coins to unlock it.

Pokémon GO

Yesterday, Niantic announced that the second Community Day for Pokémon GO would take place on February 24th. Players will be able to catch a special Dratini with an exclusive move (TBD). There will also be other bonuses: 3x Catch Stardust, and 3-hour Lures.

Here’s when the event will take place in each region:

  • Asia-Pacific region: February 24th, 2018, from 12:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. JST (GMT +9)
  • Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India: February 24th, 2018, from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. UTC (GMT +0)
  • The Americas and Greenland: February 24th, 2018, from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. PST (GMT -8)

Detective Pikachu

According to a report from the Hollywood Reporter, we now know the name of another actor playing in the upcoming Detective Pikachu movie: Ken Watanabe. He will play the role of a character called Detective Yoshida.
