Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon – Pokémon distribution (Japan)

This week, yet another Pokémon distribution for Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon in Japan was announced. It will run from January 20th to March 11th, and will allow players to get the signature Pokémon of the Evil Team Leaders from the Team Rainbow Rocket: Giovanni’s Nidoking, Maxie’s Crobat, Archie’s Mightyena, Cyrus’ Honchkrow, Ghetsis’ Cofagrigus, and Lysandre’s Mienshao.

Those Pokémon will be available from Pokémon Center stores across Japan, and will rotate every week (meaning you will have to make a visit to the nearest stores several times to get them all.

To get them, you will need a Serial Code distributed from January 13th to March 5th, at various stores: Aeon, Tsutaya, WonderGoo, Amazon, Yodobashi, Pokémon Center stores, and more. The Serial Code has to be used until March 28th in order to get Shiny Kyogre in Pokémon Ultra Sun, and Shiny Groudon in Pokémon Ultra Moon.

Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon – Battle Competition

Today, battles for the first online competition for Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon went live. It’s called Johto x Alola, and here’s all you need to know about it:

  • Pokémon allowed: Pokémon from the Johto and Alola Pokédexes (including those obtained via Poké Transfer)
  • Pokémon banned: Mythical Pokémon, some Legendary Pokémon (Mewtwo, Ho-Oh, Lugia, Zygarde, Cosmog, Cosmoem, Solgaleo, Lunala, Necrozma)
  • Battles: Double Battles, Team of 6 Pokémon and 4 sent to battle
  • Level: 50 (dropped to 50 if above)
  • Items: all allowed, but two Pokémon cannot have the same Hold Item
  • Participation prize: 50 Battle Points (need to battle at least once)
  • Registration: December 7th to December 15th
  • Battles: December 15th to December 17th

Pokémon GO

Heads up for Pokémon GO: Groudon is now appearing in Raid Battles around the world. It will be available until January 15th, so make sure you head out and get it before it’s too late!

Pokémon Duel

The latest Gym Cup event is the Fairy Gym Cup, and it went live earlier this week. Here’s all you need to know about it:

  • Runs from December 14th to December 18th
  • Fairy-type Movement 0, 1, and 2 figures = +1 Movement;
  • Steel-type figures = +20 Attack (for each attack);
  • Gym Boosters available, with the contents increasing with your winning streak. Said boosters have to be redeemed before December 13th
  • Jigglypuff figure (R) and EX + UX Cubes available as reward
  • Trophies will be distributed to qualifying players after the event.

Pokkén Tournament DX

Today, the next Official Group Match for Pokkén Tournament DX was announced. It’s called the Thunderclap Press Cup, and it will take place from December 22nd to December 31st. This one is a Team Battle Competition, with a Fixed Battle Arena. As usual, if you participate, you will get a special title related to Pikachu Libre, and you will get additional titles based on your overall rank.

Pokémon Rescue
