Pokémon Sun and Moon – Pokémon distributions
Today, a brand new Pokémon distribution for Pokémon Sun and Moon was announced in Japan. This one is all about Pikachu, which is no surprise as it coincides with the Pikachu Outbreak event in Yokohama. From August 9th to August 15th, players will be able to get Pikachu, but… that’s pretty much all we know so far. No word on the Pokémon itself, or how it will be distributed.
But that’s not all! The Salazzle distribution has also been announced for more countries, and more specifically in Europe (where it will run from August 18th to September 18th):
- UK: Serial Code available at GAME stores
- Spain: Serial Code available at GAME stores
- Germany: available at Nintendo Zones.
- France: Serial Code distributed at Micromania stores
- Italy: Serial Code distributed at Gamestop
- Netherlands: Serial Code distributed at Intertoys

Pokémon GO
Today, The Pokémon Company shared more details about the real-life Pokémon GO events to be held in Japan, alongside the Pikachu Outbreak event in Yokohama. The two events planned have been renamed, and are now known as Kanto Park and Johto Park. And yes, there’s a good reason for that: Pokémon from each region will appear more frequently at their respective event.
During the event, players will be able to get some rare/unusual Pokémon, such as Farfetch’d, but also Mr Mime (which is normally only found in Europe. Finally, players will even get special 2km eggs, from which Pokémon usually not found in those eggs will hatch.
Speaking of Pokémon GO, here’s some pictures for the Pokémon GO Plus DX set (sold at Pokémon Center stores), that includes the Pokémon GO Plus Ring, a Poké Ball-shaped screwdriver, and even a battery pack:
