Ho-Oh distribution

The other day, we learned about a Ho-Oh distribution from leaked CoroCoro magazine scans. Now that said magazine is finally available in store, we finally have some details about the distribution.

As expected, the distribution ties-in with the latest Pokémon movie, Pokémon, I Choose You!, opening on July 15th (no surprise, since Ho-Oh stars in that movie). And July 15th is exactly the very day the August issue of CoroCoro magazine comes out, and it will include a Serial Code for Ho-Oh. Unfortunately, that’s all we know: no details about the Pokémon are known as of writing.

Speaking of Pokémon distributions, two Pokémon distributions went live in Japan:

• Hat Pikachu (another tie-in with the latest movie)
• Bewear (available from Pokémon Center stores)

The Pokémon Company

2016 was a fantastic year for The Pokémon Company, which landed at #19 of Licence Global’s Top 150 Global Licensors chart with $3.3 billion generated (which is about $1.2 billion more than last year, allowing the company to gain 10 places in a year).

2016 was the 20th Anniversary of the Pokémon series, so it’s no wonder it was such a good year for The Pokémon Company. With Pokémon GO’s tremendous success, Pokémon Sun and Moon breaking sales record pretty much everywhere (except in Japan), and more, it’s no wonder it was such a good year!

And 2017 promises to be pretty good, what with additional Pokémon GO updates, the Detective Pikachu movie going into production, the latest animated series debuting outside Japan, the 20th movie, and more (including everything hasn’t been announced yet!).
