Pokémon Sun and Moon news (Feb. 14): New Global Mission, Bottle Cap distribution

Today’s Pokémon Sun and Moon news: New Global Mission announced, but also…

  • Bottle Cap distribution
  • Friendly Competitions glitch

Pokémon Sun and Moon – Global Mission #4

A few hours ago, the 3rd Global Mission for Pokémon Sun and Moon ended, and unlike the first two, it was a success. Players had to trade at least 1 million Pokémon via the Global Trade Station, and they ended up trading… over 4 million Pokémon (4 107 702 to be more precise).

As such, the following rewards will be distributed to all players:

  • Success with 2 million Pokémon: 2 000 Festival Coins (4 000 Festival Coins if you’ve linked Pokémon Sun / Moon to the Pokémon Global Link) + a Friend Ball;
  • If you traded at least 5 Pokémon via the GTS: 5 Rare Candies (only for players who have linked Pokémon Sun / Moon to the Pokémon Global Link).

NB: the Friend Ball and Rare Candy will be distributed via Serial Codes available from the Pokémon Global Link at a later date. The Festival Coins can be claimed from the Festival Plaza castle.

Also, the 4th Global Mission was announced, and will be live from February 28th. This time, players will have to get as many Battle Points as possible from the Battle Tree.

Pokémon Sun and Moon – Friendly Competitions glitch

Last week, it was reported that a glitch was impacting players trying to scan the QR Code for a Friendly Competition before said competition had started. Players would sometime be banned from that competition, and would therefore be unable to participate even after the competition had started.

And today, it was announced that the glitch has been fixed!
