Pokémon GO news (March 19): Community Day / Lugia / Facebook account linking

Today’s Pokémon GO news: more details about the latest Community Day, but also…

Pokémon GO – Community Day

As announced previously, the next Community Day will take place on March 25th, and it will allow players to catch a special Venusaur. And last week, Niantic finally revealed what would make it special: if you evolve it during the event, it will learn the “Frenzy Plant” move, that no other Pokémon knows (at this time).

Pokémon GO – Raid Battles

Heads up for players who want to get their hand on Lugia: the Legendary Pokémon is back in Raid Battles, for a limited time. You have until April 2nd to get it! Also, the Sky Attack move has received a slight boost, with its power increased from 70 to 80.

Facebook account linking

Last week, Niantic announced that players would soon be able to link their Facebook account to Pokémon GO. That will offer a simpler sign-in process and more options to log-in, but also help preserve your progress across devices.

Soon, you will be able to link your Trainer profile to your Facebook or Google account, and then use any of those to access the game. To link your Trainer profile, you will have to access the Settings menu and then select the account you would like to link.

You can find more details about this feature on this page!
