Pokémon GO: Japanese event detailed, Pokémon GO Plus Ring announced, Mewtwo @ Pokémon Stadium

Today, The Pokémon Company finally shared some details about the real-world event for Pokémon GO, part of the celebrations for the first Anniversary of the game. There’s actually two events:

  • Pokémon GO Park: from August 9th to August 15th (10AM to 5PM local time), at the Yokohama Red Brick Park and the Cup Noodle Museum Park, where plenty of PokéStops will be available. This event is open to everyone;
  • Pokémon GO Stadium: on August 14th (from 6PM to 9PM, local time), at the Yokohama Stadium. This event is not open to everyone: you need to apply on the official website before July 24th, and then people will be selected via lottery. For more details about this event, and to sign up for it, check out this page! If you don’t understand a word of Japanese, no problem: instructions are also available in English (probably due to the large amount of foreign tourists visiting Japan). Important note about this event: Mewtwo appeared there today, as special Raid Boss! Click here to find out when it’s coming to other countries!

Also, The Pokémon Company announced an accessory for the Pokémon GO Plus. It’s a ring that you put at the back of the device, that allows you to wear it on your finger, and keep it in the palm of your hand. It will be available from July 15th, exclusively at Pokémon Center stores. It costs 400 Yen, and comes with a set of decals: Great Ball, Ultra Ball, and Master Ball.

Here’s what this accessory looks like:

Unfortunately, no European or North American release has been announced.
