One Piece Dai Kaizoku ColosseumYesterday, we learned from Rakuten that One Piece: Dai Kaizoku Colosseum would be released on September 21st in Japan. And today, Bandai-Namco confirmed the news, and revealed a trailer for the game. Said trailer shows some animated cutscenes, but also gameplay footage proper, and gives plenty of details.

One Piece: Dai Kaizoku Colosseum is a 2D action game, and just like in any action/fighting game, you can pull off combos. At one point, buttons appear on the screen: you have to press them in the right order to successfully pull off combos. Be careful though, because your opponent can counter.

The game features over 23 playable character, and it looks like you can go in battle with 2 of them. You can also switch at any time if one of them is in bad shape. As for the Assist Characters (over 80 of them), they work like they usually do in other games: you can call them at key moment, and they support you with their attacks. Calling them at the right time will be key to victory in many battles.

Finally, we have the Rio Giganto Combo: an extremely powerful combo which will not leave your opponent unfazed…
