Nintendo Switch: QubicGames planning to bring two games (inc. Audio Hero)

In their latest quarterly report, QubicGames (developers of 2 Fast 4 Gnomz) revealed that they have some plans for the Nintendo Switch. To be more precise, they’re planning to port the following games:

  • Geki Yaba Runner: known as 2 Fast 4 Gnomz on Nintendo 3DS and Wii. It’s not clear whether this is the original, or the sequel coming next year on Nintendo 3DS (most likely the latter);
  • Audio Hero: a musical platformer/runner, where music is one of the central elements (the title made that pretty obvious!), as all the actions are synchronised to it. According to QubicGames, Audio Hero offers simple and accessible controls. The game is also planned for other platforms, and should be released in second half of 2017.

QubicGames will publish those two games themselves in Europe and North America, and will partner with a publisher for the Japanese market (Flyhigh Works).

The company is indeed planning to release some games on the Nintendo Switch, but there’s a catch: they don’t have devkits right now. In other words, development on the Nintendo Siwtch version of those two games hasn’t started yet, and only will once they get some devkits.

Our list of confirmed games and publishers for the Nintendo Switch has been updated!
