Nintendo Switch news (June 16): Pikmin 4 / LEGO Worlds / Fate/EXTELLA

Today’s Nintendo Switch news: Pikmin 4 still “progressing” according to Shigery Miyamoto, but also…

  • LEGO Worlds
  • Fate/EXTELLA: The Umbral Star
  • ARMS
  • “Playing to Win” Trailer
  • Accessories

Pikmin 4

A couple of years ago, Shigeru Miyamoto casually announced Pikmin 4, explaining that it was “close to completion”. Fast forward to 2017, and that mysterious Pikmin 4 is nowhere to be seen. And no, it’s not Hey! Pikmin, as confirmed by Shigeru Miyamoto to Eurogamer:

I’ve been told not to share anything about this from PR, but I can tell you it is progressing.”

Since Hey! Pikmin comes out in less than a month in Japan, it would be more than surprising for Miyamoto to make such a statement if it really was the game announced back in 2015. The question remains: when will we finally get to see that game? One thing’s for sure, though: chances that it’s on anything but the Nintendo Switch are extremely low.

LEGO Worlds

Earlier this week, in a press release, Warner Bros. revealed that the Nintendo Switch version of LEGO Worlds would be released this Fall in Europe and North America. There will be two versions:

  • physical, that includes two bonus packs of premium DLC (including Classic Space)
  • digital version, with just the base game (but with DLC available separately on the Nintendo eShop).
