Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia

Here’s a TV Commercial for Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia (and more precisely the extended version of it):

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia (3DS) comes out on May 19th in Europe and North America.

Kirby 25th Anniversary

A few days ago, Satoshi Ishida and Shinya Kumazaki from HAL Laboratory posted a message on Miiverse, in order to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Kirby series. The message was posted in Japan on April 27th, which was exactly 25 years after the release of the very first Kirby game on GameBoy.

That message is finally available in English, on Miiverse: click here to read it!

Speaking of Kirby, here’s the latest batch of goodies from the official website:

Nintendo Switch

A few days ago, along with its latest financial results, Nintendo shared their forecast for the new Fiscal Year (that ends on March 31st 2018). The company is planning to ship 10 million units during that period, which would bring total Nintendo Switch sales to 12.74 million units.

A pretty ambitious goal, but one that the company should be able to reach with a steady stream of new releases and major titles. And yet, on April 27th, Tatsumi Kimishima seemed rather cautious on this particular topic:

I don’t think we can readily achieve the target [of selling 10 million consoles]

While this may seem overly pessimistic, it’s quite likely that Tatsumi Kimishima is being overly cautious here, as many analysts expect the Nintendo Switch to sell (well) over 10 million units this Fiscal Year.

As for what Nintendo is doing to meet that goal, the Nikkei mentions something pretty interesting: they quote an executive at one software company (the name isn’t mentioned), who revealed that Nintendo asked them to introduce major releases “as early as possible”.
