Super Mario Run x Pokémon GO
Yesterday, Apple sent a press release to share some stats about 2016 for the App Store. The company revealed that Super Mario Run was the most downloaded game worldwide on Christmas day and New Year’s day. It was also among the Top 10 most downloaded apps worldwide for the full year, though we don’t know at which rank it ended up.
As for Pokémon GO, no one will be surprised to learn that it landed at #1 of that Top 10. With how successful the game has been since launch, this is no wonder… It will be pretty interesting to see if Niantic manages to keep players interested throughout 2017, and beyond!

Super Mario Maker
In Super Mario Maker, you can make the levels of your dreams… or you can try recreating those from other games, including those from the Super Mario Bros. series. And it’s exactly what KHAce decided to do with… Super Mario Land.
Unfortunately, Super Mario Maker does not have elements or backgrounds from that game, so KHAce had to do with the standard 8-bit assets from Super Mario Bros. And the end result is actually pretty impressive, especially given the limitations he had to work with.
