Nintendo Germany giving out Photos with Animal Crossing 3DS app via Nintendo Zones after gamescom

Nintendo Germany just announced that there will be an alternative way to obtain the Photos with Animal Crossing application for Nintendo 3DS if you can’t make it to their gamescom booth this week.

Starting 10th of August, the first of the three AR cards will be available at participating McDonald’s restaurants, the second AR card will be available starting 17th of August and the third and final AR card will be available from 24th of August. The AR cards will be available in limited quantities and only for one week per card so make sure to be quick if you want to grab them.

The actual Photos with Animal Crossing application will be available through the Nintendo Zones in those same McDonald’s restaurants. They can be obtained via codes given out upon accessing the Nintendo Zone app on your 3DS, just like with Home Menu themes during previous activities.

The Photos with Animal Crossing app originally launched way back in November 2013 but never left Japan. It only made its way to European shores this Summer when Nintendo started giving it away at public gaming events in the UK and Germany, for example. It is unknown if Nintendo branches in other regions have plans for similar promotions in the future.
