Nintendo Game Music Live!: livestream recordings

During the Nintendo Switch Experience 2017 event in Japan, on January 14th and January 15th, visitors could enjoy the Nintendo Game Music Live!. Those are live musical performances by the Nintendo Special Rock Band and Nintendo Special Big Band, featuring arrangements of music tracks from several Nintendo games.

In this post, you will find our own recordings of the live performances (to be replaced by the official recordings from Nintendo, once available), in case you missed it yourself (or simply want to watch it again).

The first performance was by the Nintendo Special Rockband, and they played the following tracks:

  • Splatoon (Splattack!, Seaskape)
  • Xenoblade Chronicles (Mechanical Rhythm, You Will Know Our Names)
  • Mario Kart 8 (Big Blue / F-Zero, Excitebike Arena, DS Wario Stadium, Bowser’s Castle, Electrodrome)
  • Splatoon 2 (Ink-oming, by Wet Floor, the game’s main theme)

The second live performance was once again by the Nintendo Special Rockband. Unfortunately, they played more or less the same tracks as during the first one:

  • Xenoblade Chronicles (Mechanical Rhythm, You Will Know Our Names)
  • Mario Kart 8 (Big Blue / F-Zero, Excitebike Arena, DS Wario Stadium, Bowser’s Castle, Electrodrome)
  • Splatoon 2 (Ink-oming, by Wet Floor, the game’s main theme)

The third performance for the Nintendo Special Rock Band had more or less the same tracks as the previous two:
