Nintendo eShop, Wii/DSi Shops and Smash Bros. (Wii U) maintenance taking place today

Nintendo announced an additional maintenance period for tonight, impacted online services for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U.

It’s been a little while since the Nintendo eShop last went down for maintenance (it was in July), but it’s going to happen again next week, on Tuesday. For a total of four hours, the Nintendo eShop and the Wii/DSi Shops will all be down for maintenance. Usually, this happens on Monday evening, which is the usual period for weekly Nintendo maintenance, but as usual, the company didn’t give any details or explanation.

Here’s the list of services impacted:

  • Wii U: Nintendo eShop
  • Nintendo 3DS: Nintendo eShop
  • Wii: Wii Shop Channel
  • Nintendo DS: DSi Shop

This maintenance will take place on:

– Europe: September 8th (8PM) to September 9th (2AM)
– UK: September 8th (7PM) to September 9th (1AM)
– North America (EDT): September 8th (2PM to 8PM)
– North America (PDT): September 8th (12PM to 5PM)
– Japan: September 9th (3AM to 9AM)

But that’s not all: Super Smash Bros. will also get its own maintenance tonight. Here’s the list of service impacted:

  • Wii U: Super Smash Bros. for Wii U (online play and leaderboards)

The mainteance will take place on:

– Europe: September 9th (3AM to 4AM)
– UK: September 9th (2AM to 3AM)
– North America (EDT): September 8th (9PM to 10PM)
– North America (PDT): September 8th (6PM to 7PM)
– Japan: September 9th (10AM to 11AM)
