Monster Hunter XX (Double Cross): trailer for Nabirou, footage for Barioth/Barufaruku

Today, Monster Hunter XX (Double Cross) was showcased during the latest episode of Capcom TV. Just like last time, Shintaro Kojima (Producer) was one of the guests, and he was nice enough to bring a brand new trailer for the game.

This new trailer showcases the special Felyne you can get in Monster Hunter XX (Double Cross), who is in fact Nabirou from Monster Hunter Stories. As mentioned when the game was announced, you can get Nabirou if you have a save data file from Monster Hunter Stories on your SD Card. Naturally, you can have him as a partner when hunting, or you can directly play as him in Prowler mode.

Here’s the trailer for the Nabirou felyne:

But that’s not all we were treated to during this episode of Capcom TV. We also got to see more gameplay footage from the game, starting with a Barioth hunt:

Finally, we also got to see part of a Barufaruku hunt. Unlike the two other times (during the Monster Hunter Tokuban 2016 Autumn livestream, and the previous episode of Capcom), they didn’t cut right when the hunters reached the monster! We actually get to see the Barufaruku (one of the two new Main Monsters) in action, and it looks quite simply deadly… especially when it’s enraged!

Here’s the gameplay footage for the Barufaruku hunt:

Monster Hunter XX (Double Cross) comes out on March 18th in Japan.
