Monster Hunter Stories: Kumamon collab. content releasing tomorrow, more footage

It’s on Friday that Capcom releases (free) additional content for Monster Hunter Stories in Japan, and the company has done so ever since the game came out on October 8th. And sometimes, we get a preview of content to come soon (generally the next couple of days), such as last week during the Monster Hunter Tokuban 2016 Autumn livestream.

And yesterday, during the latest episode of Capcom TV, Capcom announced that the Kumamon collaboration content would be released tomorrow, on November 4th. Here’s what players will be able to get:

  • Kumaashira (Kumazuros): a special Arzuros made to look like Kumamon, the famous mascot from the Kumamoto Prefecture;
  • a special Kumamon hat for Nabirou;
  • a set of Kumamon-themed stickers for multiplayer chat.

But that’s not all: on the same day, another Monster Hair Tournament will be released. It will allow players to get even more haircuts inspired by monsters, such as the Rathalos or the Barroth.

As usual, more details and screenshots will be shared tomorrow, but in the mean time, here’s screencaps from the Capcom TV episode:

Capcom also reminded us that the second part of the Legend of Zelda collaboration would be available from December 16th to January 15th (with Epona as a special Otomon, the Majora’s Mask for Nabirou), andstickers for multiplayer chat.

Finally, here’s more gameplay footage for Monster Hunter Stories, from the latest episode of Capcom TV:
