MonHun News (June 26): Monster Hunter Stories / Monster Hunter XX Nintendo Switch Ver.

Monster Hunter Stories

Last month, Capcom announced that Monster Hunter Stories was getting a major update this Summer in Japan. This new update will add several new Otomons, but also some new parts for the character editor, allowing you to recreate the characters from the Monster Hunter Stories: Ride On anime series.

For more details (+ some screenshots and a trailer) about the update, including the new Otomon, make sure to check out this post!

And yesterday, during the grand final of the Monster Hunter Championship 2017, Capcom revealed a brand new trailer for the major update, which will bring the game to Ver. 1.2.

The trailer showcases the various new elements, and reveals the release date: July 26th! Capcom is also re-releasing the game the following day, with brand new copies including the update, pre-installed. A good way to give it a second life, just as the Summer holidays are starting! This new version of the game will cost “only” 3 990 Yen + taxes, which is quite cheaper than the original version at launch (5 800 Yen + taxes at retail).

Also, Capcom revealed that players getting this version at launch will get a Download Code, allowing them to get special Otomon:
