At the beginning of the month, Nintendo announced a major redesign for Miiverse, which will take place sometime this Summer. The announcement cause quite a stir among certain users of the service, which is why Nintendo deemed it necessary to post a message on Miiverse in order to clarify some points.

Miiverse redesign

First, Nintendo reminded users that Miiverse was a place for gamers to talk about games, and nothing else. The problem comes from certain users, using the social network for long discussions, very often unrelated to games (which apparently prevent some users from fully enjoying the communities). It’s for this reason that the 30 post/day limitation will be imposed.

Nintendo also clarified some points about the Miiverse redesign:

1.) You will be able to attach screenshots to your drawings in the Drawings section.
2.) It will be possible to post the screenshots saved in your Album section into your Play Journal.
3.) We are planning to enable the posting of screenshots saved in the Album also into the “Drawings” and “Discussion” sections. This will be implemented sometime in the near future.
4.) Posts and comments made before the renewal will not be deleted and will be viewable also after the renewal.
5.) The Activity Feed will remain as it is, you just won’t be able to post in it. You can still see the posts made by your friends and the people that you are following.

More details about the Miiverse redesign will be share in the near future.
