Miitomo: latest events and content updates (January 2018)

Nintendo regularly adds new content to Miitomo, let it be new clothing items in the shop, new Miitomo Drop Themes, and more. Instead of posting a separate post each time, we’re going to have monthly posts, and update them every time something new is added. In this one, you will have all the events and content updates for January 2018! For the most recent updates, make sure to check out this post instead!

Important note: Miitomo service is to be discontinued on May 9th. Check out this post for more details!

January 1st

  • [Log-in bonus] The new set of Daily Log-in Bonuses for January is now live: various rewards for you to claim daily for the next 25 days (you will receive 200 Coins for any extra days) (available until February 1st)
  • [Log-in Bonus] To celebrate New Year, all players can get the following items as special Log-in Bonus: Golden Peacock Feathers, New Year’s Fireworks (wallpaper) (available until January 5th)
  • [Miitomo Shop] A new set of items is now available for purchase (no end date)

January 5th

  • [Miitomo Shop] A new set of items is now available for purchase
  • [Miitomo Drop] A new stage is now available: “Easy there cowboy! A Miitomo Western [A]” (available until February 5th)

January 7th

  • [Miitomo Drop] A new set of returning stages is now available: “To the high seas! Miitomo Pirates [A, B]” (available until January 10th)

January 8th

  • [Miitomo Shop] A new set of items is now available for purchase

January 10th

  • [Miitomo Drop] A new stage is now available: “Easy there cowboy! A Miitomo Western [B]” (available until February 5th)

January 12th

  • [Miitomo Shop] A new set of items is now available for purchase;
  • [Miitomo Drop] A new stage is now available: “Shredding riffs, looking good! Pretty Punk Power [A]” (available until February 12th)

January 14th

  • [Miitomo Drop] A new set of returning Miitomo Drop stages is now available: “Snowy Superstar! Winter Sports [A, B, C]” (availale until January 17th)

January 15th

  • [Miitomo Shop] A new set of items is now available for purchase

January 17th

  • [Miitomo Drop] A new stage is now available: “Shredding riffs, looking good! Pretty Punk Power [B]” (available until February 12th)

January 19th

  • [Miitomo Shop] A new set of items is now available for purchase (no end date)
  • [Miitomo Drop] A new stage is now available: “The prettiest flock in the land! Miitomo Bird Fashion [A]” (available until February 19th)

January 21st

  • [Miitomo Drop] A new set of returning stages is now available: “Trip to the petting zoo! Zoo Wonders [Sheep, Pig]” (available until January 24th)

January 24th

  • [Miitomo Drop] A new stage is now available: “The prettiest flock in the land! Miitomo Bird Fashion [B]” (available until February 19th)

January 25th

  • [Update] The latest (and most likely final) Software update for Miitomo is now available: Ver. 2.4.0. Check out this page for all you need to know about it!
  • [Log-in Bonus] Starting today, and until service is discontinued, all users can get Miitomo Coins x 2 000 and Game Tickets x 5 as Special Log-in Bonus (available until May 9th)
  • [Miitomo Drop] A new set of Daily Decorations is now available (no end date)
  • [Event] The final Miifoto Contest is now live, and its theme is “Miitomo Memories”. Check out this post for all you need to know (available until April 18th)

January 26th

  • [Miitomo Shop] A new set of items is now available for purchase (no end date)
  • [Miitomo Drop] A new set of Miitomo Drop stages is now available: “A world of swords and sorcery! MiitomoRPG [A, B, C]” (available until January 29th)

January 30th

  • [Miitomo Drop] A new set of returning Miitomo Drop stages is now available: “The journey begins again! Miitomo RPG II [A, B]” (available until February 2nd)
