Kirby Star Allies: all the details, pictures, videos from the official Twitter account (January 12th to March 16th)

Just like Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Super Mario Odyssey, Splatoon 2, and many others, Kirby Star Allies is getting regular updates on Twitter. Those share various details about the game, but also some pictures and even a few videos. In this post, we’re going to gather all the details, screenshots, artworks, and videos for the game!

March 16th

Today, Nintendo shared the following:

  • the last countdown video clip:

  • a special illustration to celebrate the release of Kirby Star Allies worldwide!

March 15th

Today, Nintendo shared the following:

  • a special countdown video, which is basically a brand new trailer. Only one day left before Kirby Star Allies is available worldwide!

March 14th

Today, Nintendo shared the following:

  • a countdown GIF… only 2 days left before Kirby Star Allies is available worldwide!

March 13th

Today, Nintendo shared the following:

  • a countdown GIF… only 3 days left before Kirby Star Allies is available worldwide!

March 12th

Over the past few days, Nintendo shared the following:

  • a video clip that shows Kirby being helped back on his feet by Gooey. When playing with friends, even if Kirby runs out of HP, it’s no big problem: a friend can simply help you get back on your feet by pressing the X button!

  • a screenshot showing the answer to the March 7th quizz. Also, some screenshots showing the different type of flowers you can bring out with the Ninja Copy Ability. The kind of flowers you end up with depends on the Friend Ability you’re using!
  • some pictures for the Dream Friends: special characters you can befriend by reaching the Dream Palaces. Check out this post for more details!

March 7th

Today, Nintendo shared the following:

  • some screenshots showcasing the Ninja Copy Ability. What happens when Kirby throws some “kunai shuriken” using the Winger Ninja Friend Ability? The answer will be revealed tomorrow!

March 5th

Today, Nintendo shared the following:

  • a couple of screenshots for Pon & Con. More than 20 years after their debut in Kirby’s Dream Land 3, the duo is back in Kirby Star Allies! It looks like they’re wearing some sort of black armour this time around…

February 28th

Today, Nintendo shared the following:

  • some screenshots showcasing one of the collectibles found in the game: puzzle pieces. There’s one hidden in each stage, and by collecting them all, you can reveal special illustrations created by guest illustrators!

February 27th

Yesterday, Nintendo shared the following:

  • a video showcasing Chef Kawasaki. He first appeared in Kirby Super Star on the SNES, and it’s making a comeback in Kirby Star Allies as a mid-level boss. Sure, Kirby can befriend him and have it come an ally, but that won’t prevent him from being cooked by the good chef!

February 21st

Today, Nintendo shared the following:

  • screenshots for one of the Friend Actions found in the game… the Friend Train! With this unique train, you can ride on walls and ceilings without falling, jump over gaps, and of course send flying all enemies that end up on your path.

February 19th

Today, Nintendo shared the following:

  • artwork and screenshots for one of the 4 new Copy Abilities found in the game, called Festival. It allows you to hit all enemies on the screen in a really unique way… dancing! The more Helpers you have with you, the more damage you can deal.

February 15th and 16th

Today and yesterday, Nintendo shared the following:

  • a video showing Francisca, the Frozen General

  • an artwork of one “Fran-Rouge” (English name TBC), one of Francisca’s allies (and presumably the Burning General)

February 11th

Today, the following was shared:

  • a video showcasing Meta Knight!

February 10th

Today, the following was shared:

  • some screenshot showing one of the Friend Abilities you can use with the Spider Copy Ability. Your allies can actually use the spider web as some sort of trampoline, to reach high areas!
  • an artwork of Francisca, one of the new characters appearing in Kirby Star Allies.

February 9th

Today, the following was shared:

  • a screenshot showing the brand new Spider Copy Ability. With it, you can throw spider webs above your head. But what kind of Friend Ability can you use with it? The answer will be revealed tomorrow!

February 7th

Today, Nintendo shared the following:

  • a video showing a meadow area, most likely the very first area of the game:

February 6th

Today, Nintendo shared the following:

  • a couple of screenshots showcasing Friend Star, one of the Friend Abilities!

February 5th

Today, the following was shared:

  • a screenshot of the world map, that you can freely explore (you’re not stuck on the “roads” between levels).

February 3rd

Today, the following was shared:

  • screenshots of a new enemy called Anger Masker. They look like fierce warriors, and throw stones at you, but you can blow their outfit off using a wind power (like Cleaning’s broom swipe)!

January 29th

Today, the following was shared:

  • an artwork of the Cleaning Copy Ability, playable for the first time in 20 years;
  • a picture showing Kirby’s friends (Nago, ChuChu, Pitch), that also make a comeback as some of the Cleaning Copy Ability moves!

January 26th

Over the past couple of days, the following was shared:

  • screenshots that show the “Curling” Friend Ability, that you get by combining a Chilly’s ice power with the Stone Copy Ability!
  • a video showcasing the one and only Whispy Woods!

January 12th to January 24th

Over the past few days, the following was shared:

  • an artwork of Francisca, the Frozen General;
  • an artwork of Kirby and some allies;
  • a screenshot of Kirby holding a Friend Heart. You can create one by pressing the X button, and then throw it at enemies to befriend them and have them become your allies. You can have up to 3 allies at a given time;
  • screenshots of a Friend Ability (Sword + Fire)
  • screenshots showing the Friend Train (a Friend Ability). Kirby and his allies hop on a star, and then fly around the stage. You can even shoot star bullets of various elements (depending on the type of allies Kirby has with him);
  • a screenshot showing Kirby mixing a Chilly’s ice power with his Stone Copy Ability. What happens when you do that? Check out the January 26th entry to find out!
