Imagineer

Yesterday, Imagineer sent a press release to announce they had decided to start development on an unnamed Nintendo Switch game. There’s several reasons that convinced them the Nintendo Switch was the console to develop for:

  • the various playstyles (play anytime, anywhere, with anyone)
  • announced shipment data (10 million units for the current Fiscal Year)

Basically, they see this Nintendo Switch title as a way to expand their video game business. It will be released during the next Fiscal Year, so not before April 1st at the earliest.

For those who don’t know, Imagineer is know for various education-related games, but also the Medabot Series (celebrating its 20th Anniversary). However, they didn’t specify which series their Nintendo Switch game would belong to. Also, they reveal that they’re planning to release 2 games for handhelds during the current Fiscal Year.
