Today’s Japanese news: Kirby and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild medly in Taiko Drum Master on Arcade, but also…

  • Attack on Titan: Shichi Kara no Dasshutsu
  • Cars 3: Driven to Win

Taiko Drum Master (Arcade)

Today, Bandai-Namco announced that the Arcade version of Taiko Drum Master would receive an update next week (on April 26th). This update will add several new tracks, including two pretty interesting ones:

  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Medley. If you’re using a BanaPassport, you can get a special costume for Don-chan, meant to look like Link (complete with the shield, sword, and bow)
  • Meta Knight Medley from Kirby Super Star Ultra. If you’re using a BanaPassport, you can get a special costume for Don-chan, meant to look like Meta Knight. This is actually the second Kirby medley to be added to the game, and if you also play that one, you will get another costume for Don-chan (a warp star-shaped headgear… with Kirby riding it!)

Here’s some pictures for the two collaborations:

Cars 3: Driven to Win

A few days ago, we learned that a video game based on the Cars 3 movie would be released on Wii U and Nintendo Switch. Today, Warner Bros. announced that it would also be released in Japan on July 20th, but only on the Nintendo Switch (the lack of Wii U version is not really surprising). It will cost 5 700 Yen at retail, and 5 200 Yen on the Nintendo eShop.

Here’s the Japanese trailer for the game:

Cars 3: Driven to Win (Switch, Wii U) will be released on June 13th in North America, July 14th in Europe, and July 20th in Japan.
