[Japan] Nintendo Switch: launch line-up for the Nintendo eShop (Blaster Master Zero, VOEZ, more)

Yesterday, Nintendo finally shared some more details about the Nintendo eShop of the Nintendo Switch. The company re-confirmed that it would indeed be available at launch (though you will need to download a Firmware update first), and even listed a couple of indie games launching on the same day in Europe and North America.

And today, Nintendo updated its release planning in Japan, revealing that a total of 12 downloadable games would be available on Day 1 in that region. The line-up includes expected titles such as Snipperclips: Cut it out, Together!, but also some real surprises…

Among the surprises, we have Blaster Master Zero from Inti Creates… which wasn’t even announced for the Nintendo Switch in the first place (unfortunately, we don’t know what this means for the Nintendo 3DS version of the game…). There’s also VOEZ, which was revealed this week in Famitsu magazine, and the ACA NeoGeo titles that were announced shortly after the Nintendo Switch Presentation back in January.

Without further ado, here’s the line-up for the Nintendo eShop of the Nintendo Switch, at launch in Japan:

  • all the titles available at retail
  • Snipperclips: Cut it out, Together! (Nintendo)
  • The King of Fighters 98 (Hamster)
  • WakuWaku 7 (Hamster)
  • Shock Troopers (Hamster)
  • World Heroes Perfect (Hamster)
  • Metal Slug 3 (Hamster)
  • VOEZ (Flyhigh Works)
  • Othello (Arc System Works)
  • Frontier Days: Founding Pioneers (Arc System Works)
  • Soratobu Bunbunbaan (Poisoft)
  • Soldam 2 (City Connection)
  • Blaster Master Zero (Inti Creates)

Naturally, the Upcoming Releases page has been updated with the new dates and new games.
