Japan: Mario Sports Superstars (3DS) releasing in March, Minna de Waiwai! Spelunker (Switch) in April
Today, the release date for two upcoming games on Nintendo platforms was announced: Mario Sports Superstars, to be released on the Nintendo 3DS, and Minna de Waiwai! Spelunker, which is a Nintendo Switch title.
Mario Sports Superstars
Revealed during the Nintendo Direct presentation on September 1st, Mario Sports Superstars is a game featuring 5 Mario-themed but full-fledged version of sports:
- Football (soccer, 11 vs 11)
- Baseball
- Tennis
- Golf
- Horse Racing
Developed by Bandai-Namco and Camelot, Mario Sports Superstars will be released on March 30th, and would cold 4 980 Yen (+ taxes). Nintendo announced the release date today, out of the blue, and promised that more details about the game would be revealed in the near future… stay tuned!

Minna de Waiwai! Spelunker
Revealed on Friday, Minna de Waiwai! Spelunker is based on Minna de Spelunker Z. Very little is know about the game so far, other than it will be playable with 1 to 4 players, with local and online multiplayer. And today, Square-Enix announced that the game would be released on April 20th in Japan, and that it would cost 4 980 Yen (+ taxes).
