Today, during their latest livestream on NicoNico, Inti Creates shared some surprises with fans of the Azure Striker Gunvolt series, and those of the Blaster Master series!

Azure Striker Gunvolt

A few weeks ago, Inti Creates shared some news regarding the Azure Striker Gunvolt OVA. They revealed that it would be released on the Nintendo eShop, sometime in January… though it’s pretty clear this never happened. During today’s livestream on NicoNico, the release date for Japan was finally revealed!

The Azure Striker Gunvolt OVA will be released on February 9th on the Nintendo eShop in Japan, and it will cost 600 Yen. And shortly after, Inti Creates confirmed that Europe and North America would also get it on the same day, and that it would cost $2.99 / 2.99€ / £2.49 / AU$3.65.

Here’s the trailer for the OVA, in both languages (English and Japanese, though it’s not clear whether users will be able to select the language for voices):

Blaster Master Zero

Last year, during the Inti Creates Fan Festa 20th Anniversary, Inti Creates announced that they had acquired the Blaster Master licence from Sunsoft, and were working on a game called Blaster Master Zero for the Nintendo 3DS. If this is the first time you’re hearing of this game, make sure to check out this post for the rundown on all the details (along with some screenshots and art).

And during today’s livestream, Inti Creates showcased the game, and gave us a good, long look at Area 1 of the game (and a little bit of Area 2), complete with a boss battle.

Here’s our recording of the gameplay footage:

They also showed the intro video:

Blaster Master Zero (3DS – eShop) will be released this Spring, worldwide.
