Yooka-Laylee

Today, Playtonic Games posted the latest blog post for Yooka-Laylee on their official website, but this one doesn’t have much in the news department. Most of the post is about media coverage, what with the GDC  and the playable demo that was showcased there.

But that’s not all this blog post is about: they also announced that the backer-exclusive Insert Coin t-shirts have been, and are beginning to process. In order to make sure you get it on time, without any issues, Playtonic Games ask all backers who have physical goods to make sure their shipping address is filled in correctly in BackerKit before March 9th.

For the other physical items that require shipping, Playtonic Games will take care of it in due time. Naturally, they will prioritise game disks ahead of all other items!

Yooka-Laylee (Switch – eShop) comes out later this year.

Mobot Studios

Game development can be a pretty rough business, and many indie developers discover that the hard way after releasing their first game. Unfortunately, it’s the end of the line for Mobot Studios, creators of Paper Monsters Recut, who announced today that the studio was no more. The reason? They lost too much money, and decided it was better just to call it quits it seems.

What does this mean for Paper Monsters Recut and their other titles? Nothing, really. They will remain available for purchase, thanks to CrescentMoon Games.
