Today’s Indie news: new world revealed for Runner3, but also…

  • Runbow Pocket
  • Plantera DX Edition
  • Hive Jump
  • Cave Story+
  • Blaster Master Zero
  • Yoku’s Island Express
  • The Unlikely Legend of Rusty Pup
  • Hover: Revolt of Gamers
  • Hover Heaven

Runner3

A few weeks ago, Choice Provisions had fans try to guess the name of a world in Runner3 based on one, lone picture. And today, they finally revealed the actual name: it’s Machineland! It’s cold, smelly, and polluted world, filled with the cigar smokes of Titans

Here’s what it looks like:

More details about that world and the game it’s part of will be shared in the upcoming weeks. The developers have been pretty quiet in the past few weeks, but development is progressing quite well: in fact, they’re now in the homestretch of development! No doubt E3 2017 is one of the places where Runner3 will make some noise…

Thanks, as always, for coming along with us on this journey! We hope you’ve been happy with what you’ve seen so far.

Runbow Pocket

Yesterday, 13AM Games announced that the long-awaited New Nintendo 3DS version of Runbow, logically called Runbow Pocket, would be released on June 20th in both Europe and North America. The game will indeed be available at retail, as announced previously, but only in Europe: 13AM Games didn’t manage to find a retail partner for Europe

Runbow Pocket Edition (New 3DS) will be released on June 20th in Europe and North America. The Upcoming Releases page has been updated!

Plantera DX Edition

According to a listing on the Nintendo eShop, Plantera DX Edition will be released on June 8th in Japan… that’s right, it’s next week! The game will cost 500 Yen, and offer the following languages: Japanese, English, Spanish, French, German, Russian, and Chinese. It’s compatible with the touch screen, which is not surprising given it was originally released on Nintendo 3DS and Wii U.

We don’t have a release date for Europe and North America, but no doubt we should be hearing something about that pretty soon!

Hive Jump

Today, Graphite Lab posted the latest Kickstarter update update for Hive Jump. They announced that they’ve finally fixed the few issues left with the Wii U version of the game, and that it’s been sent back to Nintendo for lotcheck. Hopefully, we will have a release date soon!
