Indie news (Jan. 9) – forma. 8 / Rusty Pup / Circle Ent.

Today’s Indie news: forma.8 still on track for a February release, but also…

  • The Unlikely Legend of Rusty Pup
  • Toby: The Secret Mine
  • Circle Ent.
  • Mighty No. 9

forma.8

A few weeks ago, we learned that MixedBag Games was planning to release forma.8 in February, and it looks like everything is proceeding smoothly. Last week, they announced that the Wii U version of the game had passed lotcheck in North America. In Europe, they only have to fix a few things for the manual, but there should not be any delay, and both Europe and North America should get the game at the same time.

As for the New Nintendo 3DS version, it will not launch alongside the Wii U version, but at a later date.

Circle Ent.

Here’s some news from Circle Ent.:

  • they’re currently working on 10 games for the Nintendo 3DS, including two from Arc System Works. The first one is Frontier Days: Founding Pioneers, releasing in Q1 2017. The second one is most likely Sabaku no Nezumidan;

  • Koi, on Wii U, will be released next week in North America. No doubt the European release will follow soon after!

Mighty No. 9

Mighty No. 9 was released in June 2016, with the handheld version still MIA. But there’s something else that’s still MIA… the physical rewards. Last week, Fangamer (who were contracted by comcept to produce and fulfill the physical rewards) posted an update on the official website, sharing some details about that.

They explain that the remaining physical rewards are still in production, but that’s there’s a major issue… they’re yet to receive all the necessary assets from comcept. Without them, Fangamer simply cannot give a specific shipping time-frame.
