Fire Emblem Warriors: new trailer confirms several characters from Fire Emblem Awakening

On Monday, the official Twitter account for Fire Emblem Warriors (in Japanese) teased some new info for this week, with a brand new video to be revealed on Thursday, most likely. Naturally, we expected the new info would come from Famitsu, but it’s actually from the Japan Expo that the next batch of details came from (Famitsu will most likely have an article next week, though).

Today, a brand new trailer for Fire Emblem Warriors was revealed, and it confirms several characters from Fire Emblem Awakening. None of them are really surprising (even without the “leak” from the packaging of the Limited Edition in Japan), and are pretty safe choices for characters.

Here’s the latest trailer for the game, once again available with English and Japanese voice over (a choice that will not be available in the game itself, unfortunately!):

The trailer reveals/confirms the following characters:

  • Lissa (using an axe, surprisingly)
  • Frederick
  • Male Robin
  • Lucina / Masked Lucina (not sure if they are treated as the same character)

Naturally, those characters have already been added to the list of confirmed characters for Fire Emblem Warriors!

Also, a few days ago, Koei-Tecmo revealed that the game would get two Limited Editions: the usual Treasure Box and Premium Box, that most major releases from that publisher end up getting (Hyrule Warriors did get them too). The Premium Box includes the following:

  • physical copy of the game
  • Soundtrack album (3 discs)
  • Artbook (80 pages)
  • Set of character postcards

And yesterday, Famitsu revealed that this edition would also come with an A2 tapestry of Ryouma (from Fire Emblem Fates), when ordered at their online store (ebten).

Here’s what this tapestry looks like:

Fire Emblem Warriors (Switch, 3DS) comes out on September 28th in Japan, and this Fall in Europe and North America.
