Fire Emblem Warriors: latest Famitsu preview page, more footage
In the past few weeks, Koei-Tecmo seems to have been revealing new characters for Fire Emblem Warriors at an increased pace. Since the game is releasing next week in Japan (on September 28th, to be precise), it’s no real wonder, though. And in case you were wondering: yes, the game will be featured in Famitsu magazine this week again!
Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like new characters will be revealed in this particular issue. The usual Famitsu preview only mentions Lyn (which was revealed in the Nintendo Direct), and that’s it. It looks like that Koei-Tecmo is saving the last pre-release reveal(s) for the Tokyo Game Show, that starts on Thursday in Japan.
They’ve already confirmed that a new Hero would be shown during the stage presentation at the Tokyo Game Show on Friday (September 22nd), via a Bond Conversation to be shown if the 4th option in the poll below wins (it’s highly likely it will win, since everyone will want to see who that new character is!).
Here’s the 4 options:
- Leo x Female Robin
- Elise x Lissa
- Camilla x Frederick
- Lyn x New Hero

Also, the History Mode will also be showcased during the stage presentation:
The magazine will also have details about character development and the battle system, but it’s not clear how much will be new. One thing’s for sure, though: the magazine will have 8 pages dedicated to the game in this issue.
As usual, more details are expected to drop in the upcoming days (with the website update on Thursday), so stay tuned! In the mean time, here’s the preview page from Famitsu:
But that’s not all! Last week, Fire Emblem Warriors was showcased during the latest Fire Emblem 0 livestream. No new character was revealed, but we did get to see some more of the game in action, with an in-game sneak peek at Validar (previously shown in a screenshot), from Fire Emblem Awakening.
Here’s the footage (in poor quality, NicoNico oblige):
The latest issue of Famitsu magazine will be released on Thursday in Japan (Wednesday afternoon/evening in Europe and North America).
