Fire Emblem Warriors also getting a Limited Edition in North America

Last week, at gamescom 2017, Nintendo announced that Fire Emblem Warriors would be released on October 20th in Europe: that’s about one month after Japan, which is getting the game on September 28th. We assumed that North America would also get it on the same day as Europe (since pretty much all major Nintendo release get a simultaneous release in the west), and we were spot on!

Fire Emblem Warriors is indeed releasing on October 20th in North America, where it’s going to get a Limited Edition. It will cost $79.99 (as opposed to $59.99 for the regular edition), and will include the following:

  • physical copy of the game on Nintendo Switch (no LE for the New Nintendo 3DS version)
  • three-disc original soundtrack
  • 25 character art cards
  • dual-sided poster

Here’s what it looks like:

In comparison, here’s the contents of the Limited Edition in Europe:

  • physical copy of the game on Nintendo Switch (no LE for the New Nintendo 3DS version)
  • three-disc original soundtrack
  • character art cards

In other words, the two Limited Editions are pretty much the same, with the exception of the double-sided poster. By the way, the number of character art cards is pretty interesting: it implies there’s at least 25 major characters in the game, though it’s not clear if they’re all playable or not. So far, 21 characters have been confirmed: you can find them all in this post!

Fire Emblem Warriors (Switch, New 3DS) comes out on September 28th in Japan, and October 20th in Europe and North America. The Upcoming Games page has been updated!
