Fire Emblem Heroes: latest events and content updates (August 2017)

On February 2nd, Nintendo launched Fire Emblem Heroes on Android and iOS (click here to check out everything you need to know about it). Just like all Free 2 Play games worth their salt, Nintendo is planning to provide users with regular content, events, and updates, in order to make sure they keep playing as long as possible.

In this post, we’re going to list all the events and content updates for Fire Emblem Heroes in August 2017, so that you can find all those details in one place. For all the recent updates, make sure to check out this post instead!

August 1st

• [Event] The latest Voting Gauntlet (Battle at the Beach) is now live, and pits the two waves of Summer characters against each other. More details can be found in this post! (available until August 7th)
• [Event] Round 1 of the Battle at the Beach Voting Gauntlet is now live. More details can be found in this post! (available until August 3rd)
• [Event] The Double Retweet event ended up in success, with 44 434 Retweets (they asked for only 10 000). As a results, all players will get 5 Orbs on August 7th!
• [Arena] The latest set of Bonus Heroes is now available, and features the following characters: Leo (Summer), Xander (Summer), Corrin (Summer), Elise (Summer), Berkut (Summer), Robin, Gaius, Hana, Felicia, Anna (available until August 15th?)
• [Quests] A new set of Special Quests is now available: “Voting Gauntlet”, allowing you to get various goodies (including additional Battle Flags) (available until August 7th)
• [Quests] Not one, but three new sets of Monthly Quests are now available for August (available until September 1st)
• [Log-in Bonus] During the Battle at the Beach Voting Gaunlet, all players get 5 Battle Flags each day, as a Special Log-in Bonus (available until August 7th)
• [Log-in Bonus] Due to a technical issue, some players didn’t get the Summer Log-in Bonus on July 28th 56.55AM CEST to 8.59AM). If you were impact, you will receive your Orbs sometime next week. If you weren’t impacted, you will get… well, nothing this time around!

August 3rd

• [Event] Round 2 of the Battle at the Beach Voting Gauntlet is now live! More details can be found in this post! (available until August 5th)
• [Quests] A new set of Special Quests is now available: “Voting Gauntlet” (Round 2), allowing you to get various goodies (including additional Battle Flags) (available until August 5th)

August 4th

• [Summoning Focus] A new Summoning Focus is now available: “Heroes with Life and Death” (a Skill that sacrifices Def and Res to increase Atk and Spd). It includes the following characters: Hana, Minerva, and Jaffar. More details have been added to this post! (available until August 18th)

August 5th

• [Other] New to Fire Emblem Heroes? The Beginner’s Guide is now available on the official website: click here to check it out! It will allow you to get up to speed on the basics, so that you can quickly enjoy the game to its fullest. And even if you’re not really new to the game, reading this guide probably wouldn’t be a bad idea either…
• [Event] The Final Round of the Battle at the Beach Voting Gauntlet is now live! More details can be found in this post! (available until August 7th)
• [Quests] A new set of Special Quests is now available: “Voting Gauntlet” (Final Round), allowing you to get various goodies (including additional Battle Flags) (available until August 7th)

August 7th

• [Hero Battle] A new bond Hero Battle featuring Cecilia and Lilina is now live. Just like last time, you get Orbs by clearing the maps (but not the Heroes themselves), with Hard to Infernal difficulty levels available (available until August 14th)
• [Log-in Bonus] As part of the Six-Month Anniversary celebrations, players can get 2 Orb per log-in, up to 10 times (so 20 Orbs in total) (available until August 22nd)
• [Summoning Focus] Starting today, the apperance rate for ★4 and ★3 Heroes has been swapped. Also, your first Summon for ALL Summoning Focuses is now free (click here for more details)
• [Summoning Focus] A new Summoning Focus is now available: “Cecilia and Lilina’s Battle”. It features the following Heroes: Roy, Lilina, and Cecilia. More details have been added to this page (available until August 14th)
• [Login Bonus] The Double Retweet event ended up in success, with 44 434 Retweets (they asked for only 10 000). As a results, all players get 5 Orbs (available until August 14th)
• [Update] The next update is now available: it’s Ver. 1.6.0. The official patchnotes can be found in this post, and more details can be found in this one.

• [Maps] Squad Assault, the 2nd Assault is now available.

August 8th

• [Event] The 3rd Tempest Trials event is called “Reunited at Last”, and it’s going live on Friday. It once again features Heroes from Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, and it allows players to get Clive as a reward. More details can be found in this post! (available until August 25th)
• [Summoning Focus] A new Summoning Focus is now available: “Tempest Trials”. It features the following characters: Gray, Celica, Delthea, and Sonya. More details have been to this post (available until August 25th)
• [Quests] A new set of Daily Quests is now available: “Arena Assault” (available until ???)

August 10th

• [Event] The second Starter Support event is going live on August 10th, with a new Summoning Focus: “Hero Fest”. That one features the following characters: Ike, Ninian, Julia, and Genny, with a 5% initial appearance rate for your first 5 ★ Hero. More details have been added to this page! (available until August 18th)
• [Log-in Bonus] As part of the second Starter Support event, all players can get 2 Orbs a day, up to 10 times (so 20 Orbs in total) (available until August 25th)
• [Log-in Bonus] Due to a technical issue, some players didn’t get the Summer Log-in Bonus on July 28th (6.55AM CEST to 8.59AM CEST). If you were impacted, you should receive your 2 Orbs today. If you weren’t impacted, you get… well, nothing this time around!

August 11th

• [Quests] A new set of Daily Quests is now available: “Tempest Trials”. They give twice the usual amount of rewards from August 18th to August 25th (available until August 25th)

August 15th

• [Summoning Focus] A new Summoning Focus is now available: “Sacred World”, featuring characters from Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. It features Amelia, Seth, Innes, and Tana. More details + trailer can be found in this post and this one (available until August 31st)
• [Story Maps] A new Paralogue Story is now available: “Sacred World”, with three missions: ??? (no end date)
• [Quests] A new set of Special Quests is now available: “Sacred World”, allowing you to get some extra Orbs (available until August 31st)

• [Arena] The latest set of Bonus Heroes is now available, and features the following characters: Seth, Innes, Amelia, Tana, Legion, Eliwood, Setsuna, Subaki, Wrys, Alfonse.

August 18th

• [Quests] Starting today, and for the next few days, sets of Daily Quests for the Training Tower are available (available until September 8th)
• [Summoning Focus] A new Summoning Focus is now live: “Heroes with Blade Skills”. It features the following characters: Tharja, Odin, and Nino. More details have been added to this page! (available until September 4th)
• [Quests] Starting today, the “Tempest Trials” Daily Quests give twice the usual amount of rewards (available until August 25th)

August 21st

• [Hero Battle] The Grand Hero Battle feat. Valter: the Dark Moonstone (from Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones) is now available. As usual, you can get a ★3 version of that character by clearing the map on Hard, a ★4 version on Expert, and a ★4 version + some Hero Feathers when cleared on Infernal (character added to this page!) (available until August 29th)

August 22nd

• [Log-in Bonus] As part of the Six-Month Anniversary celebrations, players can get 2 Orb per log-in, up to 10 times (so 20 Orbs in total) (available until September 11th)

August 23rd

• [Maps] Starting today, and for the next ~2 weeks, a set of Turn Limit Special Maps is now available. You need to beat those within a limited number of turns, and in doing so, you can get up to 10 Orbs (one for each difficulty level x 5 maps) (available until September 10th)
• [Quests] A new set of Special Quests is now available: “Turn Limit”, allowing you to get various goodies (available until September 10th)

August 26th

• [Quests] A returning set of Special Quests is now available, allowing you to get various goodies including some precious Sacred Seals, but also some Heroes (click here for more details about those) (available until September 16th)

August 27th

• [Maps] Starting today, and for the next 3 weeks, Daily Special Maps are available daily. Each map can be played up to one week after it’s released, and you can get 1 Orb the first time you clear them on each difficulty level (so 2 Orbs per map) (available until September 23rd)
• [Maps] The first Daily Special Map is available: Daily – Part 1 (available until September 3rd)

August 28th

• [Presentation] The third Feh Channel presentation was streamed today, and this one was about the Choose Your Legends event: click here for all the details!
• [Website] A special mini-game will be added pretty soon to the official website, called “Quick Hero Battle”
• [Summoning Focus] Two new Summoning Focuses are now available: “CYL Top 8 (Block A)” (featuring Ike, Chrom, Roy, and Hector), and “CYL Top 8 (Block B)” (featuring Lyn, Lucina, Tharja, and Camilla), in preparation for the 6th Voting Gauntlet (“Choose your Legends”). More details have been added to this page (available until September 6th)
• [Maps] The second Daily Special Map is available: Daily – Part 2 (available until September 4th)

August 29th

• [Hero Battle] The Grand Hero Battle featuring Narcian is back. As usual, you can get a ★3 version of that character by clearing the map on Hard, a ★4 version on Expert, and a ★4 version + some Hero Feathers when cleared on Infernal (character added to this page!) (available until September 7th)
• [Quests] A new set of Special Quests is now available: “Grand Hero Battles”. It allows you to earn some extra Orbs, and a ★3 Narcian.
• [Maps] The third Daily Special Map is available: Daily – Part 3 (available until September 5th)

August 30th

• [Maps] The fourth Daily Special Map is available: Daily – Part 4 (available until September 6th)

August 31st

• [Voting Gauntlet] The 6th Voting Gauntlet has been announced, and it features the Top 8 Heroes from the Choose your Legends event. More details can be found in this post! (available until September 6th)
• [Summoning Focus] A new Summoning Focus is now available, called “Brave Heroes”. It features the following Special Heroes: Lucina, Roy, Lyn, and Ike. More details can be found in this post, and this page has already been updated (available until September 15th)
• [Summoning Focus] A new Summoning Focus is now available, called “Free Summon: Brave Heroes”. It features the following Special Heroes: Lucina, Roy, Lyn, and Ike. You can get one of those characters for free, but only one… the Summoning Focus will no longer be available after you’ve tried it once! • [Maps] A new Paralogue Story is now available: “Brave Heroes”. It features the following maps: Mercenary and the Lady, The Lion and the Princess, and The Dream We Shared (no end date)
