Fire Emblem Heroes: Nintendo details post-launch support plans, RT campaign for Hero Feathers

Last week, Nintendo finally launched the very first Fire Emblem game on Mobile, called Fire Emblem Heroes. There’s already quite a bit of content available, with almost 100 characters, and already new maps released. But just like all Free 2 Play games, Nintendo needs to release additional content on a regular basis to keep players interested, and make sure they keep playing (and spending money, naturally).

In a Famitsu interview published just before launch, Nintendo already talked about post-launch support, but Kouhei Maeda (Director) shared a few more details in an interview with IGN published yesterday.

Basically, Nintendo is planning to release “new stories” about two times a months or every two weeks. Naturally, this isn’t just about stories: the developers are also working on new characters and skills, as well as new game modes. As for Shingo Matsushita (Director), he explains that Nintendo and Intelligent Systems would keep creating new content for Fire Emblem Heroes as long as players continue to support it.

Regarding tie-ins with upcoming Fire Emblem games (such as Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia), previously mentioned in the Famitsu interview, Kouhei Maeda explained they couldn’t talk about them at the moment.

Finally, Maeda talks a bit more about the involvement of the main Fire Emblem team with Fire Emblem Heroes:

The goal of Fire Emblem Heroes during development was to have the main team behind Awakening and Fates create a brand-new game in the main Fire Emblem series.

Finally, here’s some good news for players who really want some Hero Feathers to upgrade some of their Rank 4 characters to Rank 5: they will soon get 10 000 of them! Indeed, Nintendo launched a RT campaign earlier today, and the goal was to have at least 10 000 RT for all three tweets below (combined) within 24 hours.

The thing is, the total number of RT reached 10 000 extremely fast, before Nintendo of Europe even had the time to send their tweet. As of writing, the 3 tweets below have been RT’ed over 112 000 times. But since Nintendo will most likely add new tiers and rewards, you should still RT the tweets below, just in case!
