Fire Emblem Direct: news recap

Yesterday, Nintendo streamed live the latest Nintendo Direct, entirely dedicated to the Fire Emblem series. This Fire Emblem Direct had quite a lot of surprises, including two new Nintendo 3DS titles.

If you missed the presentation, you can watch it again with the recording below:

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia is a re-imagining of Fire Emblem Gaiden, the second entry in the series. The Nintendo 3DS version will feature upgraded graphics, animated cutscenes, fully voiced dialogues, and more. Two amiibo will release alongside the game, on April 20th in Japan, and May 19th in Europe and North America. In Japan, there will even be several Limited Editions!

Fire Emblem Switch

Did you think Fire Emblem Warriors would be the only Fire Emblem game on the Nintendo Switch? Well, you were wrong! A new mainline entry was announced for 2018, and will be released on Nintendo’s new home console (a first in the series since 2007/2008 and Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn on Wii). And… we’re going to stop writing right there, because that’s all we know for now!

Fire Emblem Warriors

The teaser trailer for Fire Emblem Warriors revealed last week wasn’t enough for you? Then the extended trailer revealed during yesterday’s Fire Emblem Direct should help you wait for a bit. It even features some actual gameplay footage, with Chrom! Also, the game was announced for the New Nintendo 3DS, and both versions will release this Autumn.

Fire Emblem Heroes

Fire Emblem Heroes is the title of the very first Fire Emblem on smart devices, and it will be released on February 2nd worldwide. Before launch, there’s a special event where fans are invited to vote for their favorite heroes, with wallpapers and Platinum Coins to get for voting.

Fire Emblem 0

Finally, here’s a little bit of news we missed, from the Japanese presentation. It was announced that Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadow of Valentia would be one of the games featured in the 9th series of Fire Emblem 0 cards. More details will be shared during the usual livestream, in February, and the series will be released in June.
