Famitsu: Warriors Orochi 4 and Jake Hunter: Prism of Eyes announced for the Nintendo Switch
This week, Famitsu magazine will reveal not one, but two new games for the Nintendo Switch: Warriors Orochi 4 from Koei-Tecmo, and Jake Hunter: Prism of Eyes from Arc System Works.
Warriors Orochi 4
Earlier this year, Koei-Tecmo announced Warriors Orochi 4 (known in Japan as Warriors Orochi 3), the latest entry in the Warriors Orochi series (a cross-over of the Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors, with guest characters from Koei-Tecmo). But back then, no platform was mentioned, so it was not clear whether or not the game would hit the Nintendo Switch.
But today, Famitsu magazine confirmed that Warriors Orochi 4 was indeed coming to the Nintendo Switch. We don’t have many details about it just yet, other than the following:
- it will feature no less than 170 playable characters (a record for the series)
- a new gameplay system known as “Kamijutsu Action” in Japanese (lit. God Art Action), a new type of attack
Famitsu will have more details about the game, including an interview with Masaki Furusawa (Producer). Here’s the preview page:
Warriors Orochi 4 (Switch) will be released later this year in Japan. No western release has been announced so far, but it’s pretty much guaranteed. The Upcoming Games page has been updated!
