Hollow Knight

Last month, Team Cherry shared the latest blog post for Hollow Knight, with the reveal of the third free content pack: Gods & Glory. Here’s all the juicy content included in this one:

  • New Character and Quest – The Godseeker arrives (and your romance options expand). Track down this disturbing yet alluring being, break her chains and aid her in an ancient duty.
  • New Boss Fights – Hallownest’s greatest warriors raise their blades. Prepare yourself for giant new boss fights against the ultimate foes. Each new battle intertwines with the Godseeker’s quest. No specifics on how that’ll happen, but it may not be as you expect!

  • New Music – Christopher Larkin is going all out for Hollow Knight’s final free pack, with new soaring boss tracks and giant remixes of some beloved classics.
  • Glorify Charms – Prove yourself and uncover a whole new depth to your charm collection.

The Gods & Glory content can be accessed at any time during your journey.

The DLC Pack will be released in “Early 2018”: a date that’s quite vague, because right now, the team is focusing their efforts on the Nintendo Switch version of the game, which is actually going to release before the DLC.

Speaking of the Nintendo Switch version, we still don’t have a release date, but Team Cherry did share an off-screen video of it:

Nintendo and Indies

Over the past few days, Entertainment Station published an interview with Yusuke Soejima and Park Masashi from Nintendo in Japan, about how Nintendo sees and treat indie games and developers in Japan. Some excerpts have been translated by Fukuzatsu over at ResetEra, and you can check them out by clicking here!

Here’s an excerpt:

As Nintendo, how is the difference between indie game and conventional game recognized?”

“Park: On Nintendo platforms, we don’t really differentiate between AAA titles from established firms and indie games. In actuality, they’re lined up as equals in the Nintendo eShop. We don’t specially promote indie games just because they are indie games, and conversely we don’t prioritise them below AAA titles either.”
